Hoquiam

Hoquiam is located on the west coast of Washington just a few miles from Pacific beaches is located in Grays Harbor County and the name is a Native-American word meaning "hungry for wood" because of the rich history in lumbering and exporting. The Grays Harbor National Wildlife Refuge, a home for the world's largest Spring resting place for shorebirds who come to feed and shore up reserves, the annual Shorebird festival is held here and is not to be missed. Hoquiam is rich in history and nature and this friendly city and community has much to share with visitors in activities and attractions.
