The Lynde House Museum & Visitor Centre is operated by The Whitby Historical Society by the Town on Whitby. The Historical Society was formed in 1967 preserving the artifacts gathered from friends and family. In 2013, the Lynde House was purchased from Cullen Gardens and moved to its permanent home at the corner of Brock and Burns Streets. The original collection of antiques and artifacts were combined with those received in the purchase of Lynde House.

Ascot Park street names are names of famous past horses, Ascot Park is also the name of our park which is the home ground park for Porirua's local rugby league team North City Vikings. we have a few walk ways in the area, one even leads to the country's leading police college.
