Rotary International is an organisation of leading business people and professionals. To provide humanitarian assistance, promote high ethics in business and all professions, and promote peace and goodwill the world over, are the general aims of rotary.

Rotary clubs are open to all people, and rotary is a secular organisation. Together with scholarships and student exchanges and international humanitarian work, rotary clubs at a local level are involved in many community development projects. Non-member volunteers in the Rotary Community Corps also work to further the aims of rotary.
