Welcome to The Point Way, Bed and Breakfast, Edgartown, United States. The Point Way is a beautiful combination of Greek revival and Colonial architecture. The Point Way, Bed and Breakfast, EdgartownOriginally built as a sea captain's home, the house was converted into a Bed and Breakfast in 1979 and welcomed guests until November 1, 2004. As of May 1, 2005, the wonderful building at the Corner of Main Street and Pease's Point Way, in Edgartown, will be transformed yet again. This time as a private home and painting studio which will host visiting artists from around the world through the "Artists Pointing the Way" program.
Artist and program founder Claudia Miller explains" "Artists Pointing the Way" is an endeavor so named, as I feel it is of great importance for creative individuals to use their talents to help guide humanity towards greater peace and compassion. I believe the world is at an important crossroad and that messages of greater tolerance and understanding can be spread through the artistic mediums of writing, painting, sculpture, dance, music and the spoken word.
The Vineyard arts organizations enrich all of our lives with the talented artists they invite to Martha's Vineyard. I would like to offer visiting artists a place to stay in my home during the time they will be sharing their skills and craft with our community. I hope "Artists Pointing the Way" will give artists a peaceful place to spend time together, foster a connection with fellow artists, and ultimately deepen the appreciation for the creative process.
It is my hope that the cultural organizations on Martha's Vineyard will take advantage of this donation and notify artists of this opportunity."
