The Duck Smith House Bed and Breakfast is a 1914 farmhouse situated in the quaint town of Seagrove. Seagrove is the pottery capitol of North Carolina. About 100 potters are scattered throughout the Seagrove countryside along winding and twisting roads. As you go around a bend you will see a potters sign, pull in and see all of their wonderful works. Park in town, stroll around, visit the shops and walk to the museum. The Seagrove Hardware Store is one of our landmarks. They still sell nails by the pound and horseshoes can be purchased one at a time. Step back in time, come to Seagrove, North Carolina.
The living room at Duck Smith House Bed and Breakfast is cozy and charming and has a gas log fireplace that is original to the house. It makes for a warm welcome on some of our cooler days. And, of course, during the warmer months, we've allowed for the "modern luxury" of air conditioning to keep you comfortable. We invite you to make yourself at home, curl up with your favorite book or enjoy the peaceful quiet that the room offers. A great room for socializing.
