Chora Sfakion also known as Sfakia is a town on the south coast of Crete, Greece and the capital of the remote region of Sfakia and here there are many houses in traditional architectural style with large stone arches. Chora Sfakion is ideally situated for day trips by car or boat, has many cafes, restaurants and mini markets, and offers taxi boat services. There are also a variety of tourist accommodations here with rooms, studios, and apartments, and the local economy is based on tourism, fishing, olive-oil production, and sheep and goat herding.
