    Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge in Milton is located on the west shore of the Delaware Bay and is a 10,144 acre refuge for migratory birds. This important stopover for these migratory birds provides protected breeding habitat for threatened and endangered species including neo-tropical migrating bird species. The habitat includes salt marsh, freshwater marsh, ponds and impoundments, wooded swamps and upland grasslands and forest as they say. Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge offers lecture programs, bird walks and educational activities and there are hundreds of native plants and animal species including 308 bird species, fish species, reptiles and amphibians, mammals, rare insects and plants, come for a fascinating visit.
