Whitefish Point Bird Observatory
The Whitefish Point Bird Observatory location in Paradise, Michigan is a natural migration corridor of land and water features for an incredible concentration of migrant birds. The phenomenon attracts tens of thousands of birds every spring and fall as they migrate to the Great Lakes Region. The Whitefish Point Bird Observatory has been monitoring and documenting the distribution and abundance of birds and these annual migrations for over 30 years. Information acquired will be used to increase knowledge of bird migration, further bird conservation and encourage public awareness, while research focuses on assessing the status of bird populations and movements. They hold annual events, and offer field trips to birders of all skill levels, and you can get involved by donating, adopting an owl, taking out membership and more, they also have the Owl’s Roost Gift On-line Shop with a wide selection of books, apparel and nature related gifts.

The Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum in Paradise, Michigan was created by divers, teachers and educators to showcase and document historic shipwrecks in eastern Lake Superior, near Whitefish Point in Michigan’s scenic Upper Peninsula.
