  • Virginia Living Museum

    The Virginia Living Museum is a wonderful attraction in Newport News where they showcase and exhibit living species from the mountains and the sea. Enjoy spectacular eco tourism and a fascinating visit and view coastal birds, beavers, otters, coyotes, endangered red wolves and other animals in naturalized habitats. With over 250 living species native to Virginia here, there are interactive hands on exhibits, so if you want to touch a live spider crab or see fossilised dinosaur tracks, fish with no eyes and frogs that change colour it's all here. The Virginia Living Museum is also home to the Abbitt Planetarium, a state of the art digital planetarium from where you can travel the universe. Enjoy a butterfly garden, a touch tank, extensive displays of native plants and so much more, it's all here.

    The Newport News Park offers and 8000 acre oasis and is open sunrise to sunset daily, where an incredible variety of native wildlife awaits to astound including, deer, foxes, otter, raccoon and beaver and so much more, come enjoy a natural setting of eco tourism in the great outdoors. The Newport News Park has natural woodlands, flowering meadows and shimmering lakes, and 188 campsites are spaciously arranged around these for a wonderful stay with electrical and water hookups, heated showers, picnic tables, grills and playgrounds, laundry facilities, a camper store for supplies and more, and pets are welcome.
