NorCal Skydiving Accelerated Freefall in Cloverdale, California, starts with 6-8 hours ground school before the first jump, followed by an oral exam. Then you suit up in parachuting gear and make two jumps assisted by two USPA instructors who will accompany you for at least the first four levels of the AFF program. Going over 7 levels, the remaining 3 levels require only one instructor to assist and as the levels progress the instructor gets less hands on, to that of only observing. Soon you will be solo jumping and can complete the requirements and jumps necessary to acquire your USAP "A" license, and then, the sky's the limit.
