Welcome to the National Center for Childrens Illustrated Literature, Abilene, Texas, United States. Because the Museum of the National Center for Childrens Illustrated Literature creates art exhibitions with national touring in mind, your annual membership supports an organization whose reach extends far beyond Abilene. It allows the National Center for Childrens Illustrated Literature to provide FREE admission, monthly art education programming to the public, and visual and verbal literacy training for area educators. Below are the currently available volunteering opportunities at the Museum, National Center for Childrens Illustrated Literature. If you are interested: Docent. I love to work with small groups of children. Learning about the art and artists, and sharing that information with the students of AISD and the surrounding area schools, sounds just like me.

Gallery Greeter. I can see how a warm, friendly greeter is essential to create a unique and pleasant experience for each visitor to the National Center for Childrens Illustrated Literature.

Special Events/Projects Support. Saturday Art Activities, ArtWalk or Special Events would be more my cup of tea!
