Lucia Lodge in Big Sur, Big Sur, United States | Lodge

Big Sur The name conjures up magical views, sun-drenched mountains, endless views of the Pacific and an unequaled majesty. Known as an artists' haven, it is the centerpiece of the Scenic Highway One. Rich in Spanish history, Big Sur is the English derivative of el pais grande del sur - the big land to the south.
Lucia Lodge is a historic cliff-side resort located in the heart of the Big Sur coast. The Lodge was built in the 1930's and was completed even before Coast Highway One reached its south coast location. The Lucia Lodge occupies land pioneered and settled by the Harlan family in 1865 and is now operated by family's fifth generation.
Lucia Lodge offers rustic cabin accommodations, ocean-view deck dining, a unique lounge and fireside dining in our historic dining room. The cabins are situated along a southwest facing cliff 300 feet above the Pacific Ocean, which offers an unparalleled view of the Big Sur coast.
