The Lorain Sports Hall of Fame honors those synonymous with the best of athletic achievement in Lorain, Ohio and they are nominated by the general public with their plaques and other sports memorabilia displayed in the museum. You the public must submit the names of the athletes and their personal qualifications by September the 30th annually, and they will then be screened by the committee via a detailed evaluation process, and the end result is to establish a ballot for final election, votes are then done in February of the following year to select the Class of Inductees that are then enshrined at the annual Banquet in May. The Lorain Sports Hall of Fame is non-profit and supports athletic and academic excellence financially and gratefully accept donations to support and sustain this awards program, they also accept sports memorabilia for display at their museum.
