Jim’s Place East Restaurant, family owned and operated since 1921, is located at 5560 Shelby Oaks Drive off Summer Ave. near I-40 and Sycamore View exit in Memphis, United States.   Nestled on 2 acres of wooded surroundings, Jim's Place East Restaurant was developed from an existing summer homesite belonging to Bill and Bessie Taras.  Their two sons, Costa and Dimitri, and their son-in-law Angelo, are continuing in the fine reputation that developed from their downtown locations, a total of 87 years serving the Memphis area.

Jim's Place East Restaurant can host private parties, banquets, business meetings, rehearsal dinners, bridal luncheons, and other special occasions at lunch or dinner accommodating 12 to 100 people.

The menu consists of hand-cut charcoal steaks over real charcoal, the freshest seafood available, family Greek specialties and homemade breads and desserts.
