Hillcrest Golf and Country Club in Hollywood, Florida, United States, opened in 1965 and is an ageless Devlin/Von Hagge Design that has matured into a classic layout. Hillcrest Golf and Country Club was purchased in November of 1999 by the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry of the United States and Canada. In the summer of 2000 famed architect "Gentleman" Joe Lee was asked to redesign Hillcrest Country Club's championship course.
While maintaining many of the classic features of the course, Joe Lee added mounding, new sand traps, improved tee boxes, new lakes and gave the green complexes a whole new look. Another distinguishing feature of Hillcrest Golf and Country Club is the superb drainage, While other courses in South Florida close due to heavy summer rains, you can always get a tee time at Hillcrest Golf and Country Club in Hollywood, Florida. The championship course reopened in May of 2001 to rave reviews. The beautifully maintained Tif-Eagle greens, lush landscaping and pristine lakes will appeal to all discerning golfers. The par 72 layout measures 7076 from the Championship tees, 6677 from the blue tees , 6270 from the white tees and 5207 from the ladies tees.
