The Furrytale Farm in Bainbridge Island, Kitsap County, United States | Animal Welfare
Welcome to The Furrytale Farm Animal Rescue, Bainbridge Island, United States. The Furrytale Farm is a place where old and unwanted animals can come and live out their days in peace and comfort, a place where abused and abandoned animals can learn to trust again and have a second chance at happily ever after, a place where neighs mingle with brays, where oinks are truly squeals of delight, and where woofs are welcoming. . .a place where kids learn to respect and value animals and learn in turn to respect and value themselves.
Now in its tenth year of operation, The Furrytale Farm is all about Animal Rescue, rehabilitation and education. Our eight-acre farm is located on Bainbridge Island in Washington State and is home to abused and abandoned animals from all over the Greater Seattle area. Our experienced staff and irreplaceable corps of volunteers, who are dedicated to animal rescue and rehabilitation, labor tirelessly on behalf of the animals, in hopes of healing both their bodies and their minds. Those animals that can be successfully rehabilitated are adopted to good homes, and those that, for whatever reason, are not adoptable have a good home with us for the rest of their lives. But our work doesnâ??t end there. Abused and abandoned animals have much to teach us, and so a big part of our Animal Rescue and rehabilitation work revolves around education. If, through working with abused and abandoned animals, we can teach one child or one adult at a time, that kindness to animals comes back to us a hundredfold, then we can achieve our ultimate goal: to reduce animal abuse. Currently, our animal rescue and rehabilitation program extends to horses, donkeys, goats, potbellied pigs, dogs, and cats. In future, we hope to be able to broaden our reach to rescue other kinds of animals and reduce animal abuse. The Furrytale Farm, Bainbridge Island, is a no-kill animal shelter.
