Corks Restaurant in Baltimore, United States, is the fulfillment of a vision for co-owners Joel Shalowitz and Chef Jerry Pellegrino.  In 1997, the partners purchased a restaurant set in a quaint 1849 rowhouse in Baltimore's Historic Federal Hill and transformed it into what Baltimore Magazine called "a miniature utopia for wine lovers." But wine is just half of the equation. Corks Restaurant is a restaurant where diners can be swept up in Chef Pellegrino's passion for food and wine, discover the distinctiveness of ingredients and the way they work together in a meal, and learn a little something in the process. Lunch events are also available upon prior request.

The atmosphere at Corks Restaurant is as inviting as the wine list and seasonally-inspired menu. One enters the rowhouse through the narrow entrance that passes by the kitchen.  A light, lovely dining room is rich with architectural elements, exposed brick walls, and candle-lit tables. The room seats 28. The backroom seats up to 60 people. An additional 20 can be accommodated on the intimate mezzanine. Chef Pellegrino is often greeting guests, helping them to choose an appropriate wine, or sharing some tidbits of information.

Corks Restaurant is located at 1026 South Charles Street. The restaurant is open for dinner Monday through Thursday from 5:00pm through 10:00pm, Friday and Saturday until 11:00pm, and Sundays until 9:30pm. For private parties, Corks Restaurant can accommodate up to 60 seated/80 cocktail reception in a large private room, or from 15-20 seated on the balcony. The full restaurant can accommodate up to 125 for a cocktail reception. Lunches can also be arranged at Cork Restaurant upon prior request.
