Captain York House

Captain York House in Bailey Island, Cumberland County, United States | Bed and Breakfast

The Captain York House is a turn of the century restored home of Captain Charles York, a noted fisherman from Bailey Island. The house is situated on a hill overlooking Harpswell Sound and Peninsula.
Bailey Island is the last of a series of three islands and offers a quaint fishing village at Mackeral Cove which provides guests with a unique flavor of Coastal Maine. Enjoy scenic walks along the shoreline of the Island as well as the arrival of the Casco Bay Lines "Island Romance" docking at Cook's Lobster House. Take the Casco Bay Lines one hour nature cruise and photograph the wildlife and birds of Coastal Maine. From our porch, watch the lobster men haul in their catch, the sail boats cruise the sound on their way to the Atlantic, and the picturesque sunsets.
