The ATS Canyoneering School based in Glendora, Los Angeles offers an extreme adventure three day course in Canyoneering or Canyoning that will empower students to challenge Canyoning sites around the world. Highly qualified, first class instructors provide the expert training necessary and takes the novice to new heights with Canyon descents, rappelling, rope and anchor instruction. Learn about self rescue, group rescue and anchors on the various courses available in many states and if this is for you, go on to become a Canyoneering or Canyoning, Recreational Canyon Leader. Canyoneering involves a descent down into a Canyon, to the water level and following the watercourse down the Canyon, with ropes and harnesses and dealing with obstacles as they present themselves, including rappelling down waterfalls, Swimming, wading, Hiking and down climbing.
