Welcome to The Bainbridge Island Historical Society, Bainbirgde Island, United States. The Bainbridge Island Historical Society is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 public-benefit Washington State Corporation with directors elected from public membership. Your donations to the Society are tax-deductible. Collecting, preserving and interpreting the colorful history of Bainbridge Island; promoting Island historic preservation and sponsoring the Museum.
The archive, library, research and interpretive centre that helps the Society meet it's Mission is the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum
The Bainbridge Island Historical Society sponsors the Bainbridge History series of monthly public programmes.
The Society is funded by donations through the Bainbridge foundation and other tax-deductible grants and gifts, Society Memberships and the sale of goods and services.
Museum hours are Wednesday through Monday 1 - 4 p.m. (Saturdays 10 - 4 p.m.) Admission to the Museum is free to Society members and children under 5. A picnic area is available in the "Three Trees" outdoor exhibit park.
