Main attractions include:

* A sports ground known as Saxton's Field, which features softball, cricket, soccer and hockey fields and also includes a court for netball and basketball. There is also an archery programme.

The pride of Stoke is the Stoke-Nayland cricket club who are based at the Marsden Recreation Ground, in the 2007/2008 season they were first equal in the local one day competition and also scored a huge 634 against Waimea Toi Toi United in the two day competition final.
