Cres is the biggest Croatian island, situated at the northern tip of Kvarner gulf. Although scarcely populated, island Cres has been inhabited since later stone age. Island Cres is connected with a short narrow bridge to the smaller but much more populated island Losinj.

Povljana is located in a beautiful bay to the south of the island of Pag well protected from strong northern and southern winds. Between Povljana and the open sea there is a row of a small islands which divide two Croatian coastal regions: Kvarner and Dalmatia.

The island of VIR is situated about 25 km north-west from Zadar in North Dalmatia and is connected with the mainland by bridge. This 22,5 km large island, by the Italian name of "Punta Dura" (the stony strand), presents itself to the visitor by varigated sceneries, such as those of the rocky tracts of land interspersed with pines and vineyards, fig and olive trees.

Baska is a small town located on the island of Krk, in the Kvarner Bay, at the Adriatic seacoast of Croatia. The population of the municipality is 1,554 (2001), with 901 residents of Baska itself and the rest in three other villages.

Fedje is an island municipality in the county of Hordaland, Norway. Fedje was separated from Austrheim on 1 January 1947. The main island of Fedje is surrounded by about 125 smaller islands and rocks mostly north of the main island, and the name Fedje applies both to the main island, and to all the islands and rocks as a whole.

Floro a town and the administrative centre of Flora municipality in the county of Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. The town was founded by royal decree in 1860. In 2007, the city of Floro had 8,296 inhabitants. Floro is Norway's westernmost town.

Lavik is a village and former municipality in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. Lavik is on the northern shore of the Sognefjord, approximately 100 kilometers north of Bergen and 50 kilometers west of Høyanger. In 2001, the Lavik area had a population of about 1000 people, with about 285 living in the village of Lavik.

Norheimsund is the municipal administrative centre of Kvam, Norway.

Agotnes is a community in the municipality of Fjell, Hordaland, Norway.
