Helston

Helston hosts the annual furry dance (known as the flora dance locally), a tradition that dates back to the medieval period. This usually happens on the 8 May involving a number of dances throughout the day to celebrate the end of the long winter.

Helston also hosts The Flambards Experience, formerly the Helston Aero Park, which is an aviation theme park. Nearby Wendron is home to the Poldark Mine theme park, where visitors can go underground into the old workings.
