Sweden info

Sweden is a vast land stretching from the Baltic Sea in the south, right past the Arctic Circle in the north. It offers a variety of beautiful landscapes, extensive forests and crisp, clear lakes (almost 100,000 of them!) Away from the cities, Sweden takes in vast areas of scenic coastline and idyllic islands. The wilderness areas of Norrland have the legendary midnight sun in summer, Arctic Scandinavia's highest mountain and marvellous hiking trails. The two large islands of the Baltic Sea, Gotland and Ă–land, have a special culture. The islands also have a bedrock rich in chalk and host an unusual fauna and flora. Stockholm is one of the most beautiful capital cities in the world spread across an archipelago of 14 islands. It is an easy mix of progressive and modern with pockets that maintain an old-style village feel. It also offers the cleanest air of any city in the world. The Stockholm archipelago counts about 70,000 islands, and is the largest in the world
