Portals Nous

Portals Nous and Bendinat resort is on the west coast of Mallorca, within the municipal area of Calvià in Palma´s Bay. It is a tourist spot basically composed of luxury residences, one of the most exlusive locations in Mallorca, where calm and peace prevail. There are luxury crafts in its yatch club where one can come across many famous people. There are also luxury restaurants and fine shops in a cosmopolitan and glamourous atmosphere.

Bendinat castle, a XIX century building in a Central European style, towers over the area. In the select golf course -overlooking a beautiful landscape- there are still remains of the old islamic water conduits. At Oratori St, on a small hill that overlooks the coast, there is Portals Oratory, built in 1865. The origins of Portals Nous are in the thirties, when middle-class families from Palma de Mallorca started to build second summer houses in the lands of the old farm s´Hostalet.
