It's a beautiful area with wild mountains, perfect for mountain walks, or take a trip to one of the waterfalls in the area.
The village Tafjord carries the slogan "Wild, warm and beautiful" with good reason.
Take a beautiful trip to the Muldalsfossen. The walking route climbs almost 1200 feet throuhg 13 bends. A one-hour walking tour takes you past historic settlements and to Emperor Wilhelm's waterfall.(Muldalsfossen), one of the highest in Europe. You can take a rest and refresh at the summer cafe.
There are also very good possibilities for fishing at the fjord. You can fish anywhere in the fjord. There is plenty of Salmon, Trout, Flatfish and Cod-fish to catch.
If you are lucky, you can also see dolphins playing or seals near the harbor.
No less than six hydroelectric plants are located in the Tafjord district, the first dating from 1923 and which became a museum after its closure in 1989, now a popular tourist attraction.
