San Siro

San Siro is a comune or municipality in the Province of Como in the Italian region Lombardy, located on the north-west shore of Lake Como immediately north of Menaggio and south of Cremia.

It is about 70 km north of Milan and about 30 km northeast of Como. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,826 and an area of 18.55 km².

The comune was formed on March 30, 1999, by the fusion of the former comuni of Sant'Abbondio and Santa Maria Rezzonico.

San Siro borders the following municipalities: Cremia, Menaggio, Plesio; and, on the other side of the lake in the Province of Lecco: Bellano, Dervio and Perledo
