Roquebrune-Cap-Martin

Roquebrune-Cap-Martin is located in the Alpes-Maritime Department of southeastern France between Monaco and Menton, and this medieval village is perched on a rocky outcrop high over the Mediterranean. Built around a castle first built in 970 by Conrad 1, Count of Ventimiglia to defend his western border, it is now a listed heritage building. Roquebrune-Cap-Martin is great for walking with many trails and breathtaking Mediterranean views, and there are excellent accommodation choices,  holiday rentals, attractions, restaurants and more, worth a visit for the history and views.
