Mandeville

Mandeville is the capital and largest town in the parish of Manchester in the county of Middlesex, Jamaica and has been described as the most English town in Jamaica. Mandeville is located on an inland plateau and town hosts a parish church, town square, clock tower and many early 19th century houses, Mandeville has hotels and resorts, bed and breakfasts and restaurant a golf club which was the first golf course in the Caribbean and now the oldest. The first free library was also established here and is now the oldest parish library. Mandeville is a major commercial centre and the location of Northern Caribbean University.
