Kingscote

Kingscote is located on Kangaroo Island in South Australia and the largest town on the island complete with boat studded harbour and large commercial fishing fleet. Kingscote is also home to a colony of the smallest penguins in the world, has an excellent range of accommodaitons, eateries, heritage sites and attractions. Visitors can enjoy fishing right off the jetty, or taking a tour at dusk to see the penguins returning from their day's fishing, and see the fascinating pelicans. Kingscote was the first settlement in South Australia and close by is Reeves Point, one of the most important heritage sites in the area.
