The Thousand Islands Playhouse Theatres in Gananoque Ontario, Canada, are two fully renovated heritage venues celebrated for producing one of the widest ranges of professional Theatre in Canada. The Theatres are located in a phenomenal natural setting in Gananoque directly on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, half way between Toronto and Montreal.


The Thousand Islands Playhouse presents eight dynamic theatrical productions, professional art exhibitions, and six lively concerts between May and November. For 25 years The Thousand Islands Playhouse has been offering Theatre lovers on of the widest programming ranges of any professional Theatre in the country, and arguably the most diverse in Ontario.


The Thousand Islands Playhouse productions have ranged from light and bright to moving and mysterious with unique Canadian writers delighting us with drama, comedy and romance.

Colourful musicals with vibrant sets and costumes have been audience favourites and have spanned settings from wartime to London, Russia and small town Canada.


Since the opening of the Firehall Theatre in 2004, the programming and potential for stylistic innovation has expanded even further.
