The Sprig and Fern in Nelson New Zealand has Old values,but is NOT old fashioned. It is also not a fake Irish bar, a bawdy German guesthouse or a Mexican Corn Chip Canteena, just a good old Colonial style, friendly kiwi tavern.

The Sprig and Fern is not strictly a rugby bar, although there is no doubt of the link between rugby and New Zealand. Given this link we wanted a Kiwi name that could become a genuine Kiwi icon over time.

The Sprig and Fern has no pool, no pokies, no screens but it is a warm friendly tavern with excellent locally brewed beer. Here you can relax, enjoy the company, and a chat while sampling one of our 20 locally brewed beers which we have on tap.
