Enjoy a beautiful, historic setting of the city on the harbour where the Bay of Fundy meets the St. John River. This is the third largest navigable water system in North America behind only the Mississippi and the St. Lawrence River Systems.
At the Saint John Ale House we use the freshest and best quality ingredients available. We try to source local, sustainable and organic products whenever possible and our menu changes with the seasonality of these ingredients. We use East coast harvested seafood and try to use suppliers that care about there fishing practices, so that our impact on the ocean is reduced. We support small local farms by buying products directly from them at fair market prices to help maintain local farming industry.
While reservations are encouraged, we hold a third of our dining room tables for walk-in guests. Walk-in tables are given out on a first-come, first-served basis, and our hosts will accept requests for walk-in tables each day from guests arriving in person. The host will give an estimated availability time to all of our walk-in guests.
We do have a large room that can accommodate parties of up to 50 people, please call us with requests to book this room.
