Pender Islands Artisan Cooperative in Pender Island, Strait of Georgia, Canada | Art Gallery

The Pender Islands Artisan Cooperative was started in 2001 to provide local island artisans with a venue to market their work. The co-op model was chosen for its inherent values of equality, cooperation and concensus building among its member owners. Along with marketing opportunities, the co-op offers its members peer support, idea sharing and comaraderie. Currently, members are working in a variety of media including painting, printmaking, collage, knitwear, hand felting, silk fusion, and photography. Member artisans will be exhibiting their artwork at shows planned on the island throughout the summer.
