DIVE SCHOOL at Pemba Dive
All courses are taught through Calvin Brummer, a PADI Open Water Scuba Dive Instructor and First Aid Instructor. His passionate performance has earned the respect of being experienced, patient and professional. With a clean history he has even succeeded in kicking doors down, of divers with previous traumas believing they would never dive again.

PADI Discover Scuba Diving
Half day course is the first step in becoming a PADI Open Water diver. Practical, theory, with pool skills and Diving on Pemba Dive Reef experiencing being inside a very large aquarium.

Pemba Dive is the only PADI registered business in Wimbi Beach with Pemba Dive Reef 100m in front of the dive shop. An underwater photographers paradise, extensive varieties of coral.

Brenda has been scuba Diving these waters since 1991, a legend as a hands on activist, (walked the talk and walked where angels fear to tread) is very passionate in her work, motivating conservation and other survival skills, such as arts and crafts made of natural materials. Deeper is the largest Giant Fan coral in Africa.

Dolphin Safari offers; Snorkelling with the Dolphins, sight seeing the other side of the bay, exploring a Cave and also Dive sights around the Cabo Delgado coastline of Mozambique.

Dolphin Safaris have rewarded many, with recent sighting of Humpback whales, a band of 40 Spinner Dolphins performing their impressive rotating jumps and five Sailfish with bills and fins flashing past us on the journey. Spotting a pod of Bottlenose Dolphins and Whales gracing the waters again, is a special gift in one trip. At times the wild dolphins are curious and will allow visitors a brief snorkel with them.

PADI Open Water Diver
The PADI Open Water Diver course will certify you as a PADI diver to dive to 18m. The course includes shallow water training sessions, academic modules. With four qualifying Open Water dives on Wimbi reefs. This will allow you to discover under water gardening with the vast variety of Soft and Hard corals within 4-5 days.

PADI Advanced Open Water
This rounds off your dive skills making you a safer diver. Allowing you the Adventures in Diving and visit the Continental shelf (drop-off) up to 30m. With five Open Water Training dives in three days.

DIVE SIGHTS
Scuba Diving is encouraged to be done early in the morning. This is when your visibility light and wind is at its best. There is a 4m difference in tide changes. Some coral is exposed in spring tide. Early dives also give us a better chance to encounter Dolphins.

Pemba Dive Reef 3-14m
100m In front of the dive shop is excellent for Discover Scuba and Refresher. A variety of different type hard coral surrounded by sea grass or sand. Lots of Damsel, Goldies and a variety of different reef fish, including your pipe fish. In spring tides it is a favorite for snorkeling at 3m.

Dolphin Playground 5-15m
25min across the Pemba bay are overhangs and tunnels with Dusky Sweepers, Shrimps, fire fish and Scorpion fish. Nudibrachs and crocodile fish greet you in the wipe coral garden and pinnacle leading to a shallow wall with numerous potato bass shying away at the end of the dive. Out gassing at 5m give a range of different type of soft coral. A resident pod of dolphins frequently feed there.

Garden of Eden 12-16m
10min south of Pemba Dive, the continental shelf is 600m from the coast line. The reef is on the edge of 80-120m deep drop-off. At 20m it is a chumming area for pelagic fish. With your advance certification you have a rare opportunity to see the largest fan coral in Africa. Occasional Sun fish, large potato bass and dolphins have shown them selves.
