The well known Paternoster Hotel is situated on the West Coast of South Africa in the fishing village of Paternoster along the Western Cape coast.

Paternoster Hotel's original building was built in 1863 and those days it served as a ?mall? with a clothing store and jail. In 1940 it was turned into a Hotel. The Hotel consists of 4 sea facing rooms with balconies and 6 rooms with no sea view. All the rooms are en-suite and has 1 double and 1 single bed, TV with SABC channels, M-Net and several DSTV channels as well as coffee/tea facilities in each room.

Heaters are supplied in the winter and fans for the very hot summer days.
The Outdoor braai/BBQ facility is available on request. We can also arrange toasted sandwiches, salads, crockery and cutlery for your braai / BBQ. Wood available in town.

Our Restaurant is open to Hotel and day visitors 7 days a week. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the dining room or outside on the veranda.

We pride ourselves on preparing delicious seafood dishes, especially crayfish and stock a selection of local wines from the region. Braai facilities and traditional seafood braais are available on request and need to be booked in advance.

We have big screen facilities available for all major and minor sport events permitted we do not have a function at that time. If the big screen is not available, Paternoster Hotel is still the best place with the best atmosphere to watch your favourite game ? we always have a TV and venue available for the sport lovers as well as the coldest beer!

We have a large collection of shells from all over the world as well as shell curios and a variety of wind chimes, shell curtains, shell jewelry, postcards, Kloovenburg olive farm products and bokkoms.
