Welcome to Murdock and Boyd Architects, Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. The firm, founded in December 1964 by James W.H. Murdoch, Architect began as a single principal practice. In January of 1969, James Murdoch and John K. Large formed a partnership and operated under the firm name Murdoch Large Associates until the partnership was dissolved by mutual consent in June of 1974. The practice reverted to its original name until incorporation in July of 1982.
Greg Murdock joined James Murdoch as partner in January of 1988, and the firm became Murdoch and Murdock Architects Inc. James Murdoch retired from the firm in December of 1994 and the practice continued under the direction of Greg Murdock as president until December of 2001. In January of 2002, Malcolm Boyd and Greg Murdock became partners and changed the name to Murdock & Boyd Architects.
The practice is located in the City of Saint John, New Brunswick. The aim of the practice is to grow and develop the range and scale of professional services in the Atlantic Region.
Murdock and Boyd Architects holds a current "Certificate of Practice" issued by the Architects' Association of New Brunswick, entitling them to practice architecture in the Province of New Brunswick. The practice has a broad range of experience in a variety of building types and projects for both the private and public sector Clients. We pride ourselves on our ability to provide comprehensive service on time and on budget.
