Matakana Castle, luxury Bed and Breakfast is located in the Matakana Village and near its Farmers Market, Cinemas and shopping, or fifteen minutes east of Warkworth Township and an easy hour north of Auckland City in New Zealand.

Accommodation and Vineyard has spectacular architecture designed so that all rooms enjoy sweeping rural and sea views across the rolling Matakana countryside to the islands of Kawau Bay and the Hauraki Gulf beyond.

The pasture, native bush and estate vineyard setting is in 16 acres of privacy and tranquility on the exquisite Tawharanui Peninsula in the heart of Matakana Coast Wine Country.

Our Medal Winning Matakana Castle Wine is 100% Pure Matakana Wine produced only from grapes from our tiny estate vineyard which we crush, ferment, press and barrel age at Hyperion Wines and then we bottle and label it by hand. It is available with our complimentary pre-dinner hors d'oeuvres and also at the dining table with evening dining.

Created by a designer and completed by an artist, the Matakana Castle is as much a piece of art as it is a Luxury Bed and Breakfast Lodge in Auckland in New Zealand.

The original design and signature decor of the interior of the lodge is equally exciting, from the dramatic entrance foyer through the circular guest lounge and to the elegant dining room.

All three guest accommodation rooms have super-king or twin beds, ensuite, gorgeous linen, towels and robes, heated towel rails, hair-dryer, fresh flowers and fruit. Both ground floor Guest Rooms have French doors opening to the terrace and rural and sea views through panoramic picture windows.
