Net fish off the 100 foot deep water dock, watch birds, seals and river otters, hike the mossy bluff with spectacular ocean views, walk along the forest trails breathing deeply the fresh scent of fir and cedar, listen to the sweet songs of woodland birds and frogs, explore the abundant beach life, or simply curl up by the fire, enjoying one of our many books.
Even though Bold Bluff has no roads and is reached only by boat or seaplane, it is on Salt Spring Island. The property faces the steep, forested cliffs of Vancouver Island across from Sansum Narrows on the southwest corner of Salt Spring Island. It is one of the last undeveloped areas of the island, and is surrounded by 2,600 acres of park and protected lands. You can hike out to your car, canoe or kayak, or take the Water Taxi that we provide for your convenience.
Your host gladly picks you up and whisks you across the sea for a 5 minute boat ride to a delightful and magical Eden. As soon as you set foot on the wharf at Bold Bluff you begin to shed your city worries.
This Salt Spring Island bed and breakfast and vacation rental accommodation is only accessible by boat.

The Garden Cottage is cozy, charming and has 2 bedrooms and is tucked into a beautifully landscaped garden and romantic orchard just steps away from Bold Bluff's private come and the ocean. Open the door and step into a world of Old Country charm and grace. Light a cozy wood fire, curl up to read one of our many books, play the antique piano, sit in the ornate Chinese dragon chair, play games or talk to your family or partner!.
Children enjoy the giant trampoline, old-fashioned swing from a maple tree, croquet, badminton, and the private beach. They can spend endless hours playing with Daisy, our bright Bold Bluff Shepadoodle dog who adores playing "catch-me-if-you-can".
