Welcome to Ismet Baba Restaurant, Istanbul, Turkey. The Ismet Baba Restaurant is now being directed by the third generation of the fruit seller Ismet (Dokmecier) from Uskudar, established by Yali Gazinosu.

In those years, the Ismet Baba Restaurant was serving both as a wine shop and cafe but after 1970 started to serve only as a Restaurant.

During his thirty years of management the "Baba" (which means father) nickname was given to Ismet Dokmecier by the people because of his personality. So that, after his death date 26.03.1981 his children decided to change the name of the Restaurant to Ismet Baba.

Today they try to improve the customer satisfaction and quality that was the main aim of Ismet Dokmecier in the beginning.
