An inner harbour waterfront property with private jetty. A self-catering cottage set in the gardens of this historic homestead. Surrounded by scenic reserve and the Great Barrier Forest most of the 200 acre property is native bush and home to Glenfern Sanctuary. This valley ecosystem is being intensively protected to provide a secure habitat for many of our endangered species. A botanical walkway has been built through the Sanctuary to a suspension bridge into the top of a large kauri tree. Small canoes, dinghies and a croquet lawn are available to share with our guests so that they can make the most of their visit. Close to walking tracks the cottage sleeps 6 in one double room, a twin room and a bunk room. The kitchen/lounge is well equipped with French doors opening onto two porches with views over the Port. Combination tramping, yacht excursion and sea kayak hire are available.
