In an elevated setting overlooking  Keswick, Derwentwater and Borrowdale, the characterful Victorian country house has outstanding views and walks from the door.

Irvine and Mallory, spacious individual apartments with a non-smoking policy within the characterful Applethwaite Country House, a former Gentleman's Residence built in 1881.   Each sleeps 4 with private entrance and stairs.  Bedrooms are en-suite with t.v. radio, hairdryer.  Beds made up for your arrival.   This gracious property stands in large, private woodland gardens which are home to red squirrels.   Applethwaite Country House,has a putting course and a bowling lawn.

Applethwaite Country House has full central heating, private parking and bike storage.  Drying facilities available.   One pet by arrangement in Mallory.
