On Stewart Island we have lots of beautiful bush walks, anything from ten minutes to ten days and we are handy for several tracks. The island is larger than Singapore but apart from a very small area around the only township, is covered in native forest or tussock. Tramping tracks take you into more remote areas. There are comfortable huts at reasonable intervals.

Rebun Island lies in the Sea of Japan off the northwestern tip of Hokkaido, Japan. The Bay itself is approximately15km long and 10km wide. It is a spacious natural harbour sheltered by headlands of forest and heathland which jut out leaving a relatively narrow entrance. With a depth of 27 metres it is thought to be the deepest sheltered harbour in Australia. The waters are remarkably beautiful and range in hue from aquamarine to a deep blue.
