  • Brightlingsea Sailing Club

    Brightlingsea Sailing Club is one of the largest and friendliest sailing clubs in the east of England offering an excellent sailing programme and active social scene. The clubs offers terrific sailing in sheltered waters for dinghies, catamarans and windsurfers, catering to novices and national champions. Brightlingsea Sailing Club boasts a number of Olympic winners and has its own integrated sailing and powerboat schools run by RYA qualified instructors, come for a trial session or one of their taster sessions or open days, and find out which boat is for you. There's an on-site galley staffed by great chefs, and a cheap bar, and they constantly host fabulous events, so come develop your sailing skills and enjoy all that this club has to offer.


  • The North London Sailing Association

    The North London Sailing Association or NLSA has a residential sailing base in Brightlingsea, Essex and is an RYA training centre offering RYA courses by their sister organisation the North London Youth Sailing Trust or NLYST. The can accommodate groups of up to 18 members at the Old Custom House with simple but comfortable dormitories or two person cabins, with central heating, showers and drying facilities, run on a self catering basis with everyone contributing to domestic activities. The North London Sailing Association also runs several dinghy cruising weekends a year for members usually sailing Wayfarers which are excellent sea boat with good stability and great sailing performance, and sailing is usually day cruising to one of the many destinations on the Colne or Blackwater estuaries.


  • The University Community Sailing Club

    The University Community Sailing Club in Brightlingsea, Essex serves to promote and facilitate the sport of amateur sailing and water-sports as they say, and are an affiliate of the Royal Yachting Association or RYA. They are also a supporter of the Royal National Lifeboat Institute or RNLI and membership at the University Community Sailing Club includes full voting rights and eligibility for boat storage, they also welcome visitors who may use the club facilities for one day after being signed in by a club member. The club is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and regularly hosts events and social programmes for the whole family, so come for some fun and celebrate with them.
