Our experiences will take you on a riveting, safe and breathtaking journey. Hand feed Sharks, rays, seahorses, eels and fish who all call The Australian Shark and Ray Centre home and will show you the most hands on exhilarating marine experience for all ages.
The Australian Shark and Ray Centre is all about bringing to the public exactly what the big aquarium keepers (the aquariums are big, not the keepers) have everyday. For over a century people have played with giant rays, hand fed sharks and so much more, but only if you worked at a big aquarium.
At The Australian Shark and Ray Centre in Port Stephens we have decided to do away with the windows, and let people jump in with some of the worlds most fabulous creatures (sharks and rays predominantly) in a sensational hour or more of touch and feel with a difference. People are no longer content with just seeing an animal, at The Australian Shark and Ray Centre we want you to understand, appreciate and empathise with the animals and their plights.
Kids from 2 and 3 years (we have had a 6 month old baby swimming with them) can hand feed sharks and rays in this amazing experience where you will be closer than you ever imagined.
