The Yokohama International School was founded in 1924, and arising out of the spirit of internationalism that prevailed following the formation of the League of Nations in Geneva, the Yokohama International School became a pioneer of international education. Today, more than 40 nationalities are represented in the School community, providing a rich cultural mix and an exciting learning environment. The challenges faced by the young people today, though different situations, are no less demanding than they were all those years ago. Yokohama International School seek to maintain the optimism and drive that existed at the School's inception and they continue to strive for excellence in their field.
