The Waterstreet Hotel architect Elmer H. Fisher, whose work also included Port Townsend's , with waterfront rooms and suites, occupies the second and third floors of the historic N.D. Hill Building, built in 1889 and completely renovated in 1990.   It was designed by Seattle architect Elmer H. Fisher, whose work also included Port Townsend 's Hastings Building and Seattle's famous Pioneer Building. Fine craftsmanship is displayed in the brickwork and metal craft of  The Waterstreet Hotel, which was featured on Port Townsend's 2004 Historic Homes Tour.
On the first floor, Water Street Brewing & Ale House offers casual dining and house-brewed beers.
Pacific Traditions Gallery, in the lobby of The Waterstreet Hotel, houses a fine collection of Native American art. It is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm, Sunday through Wednesday; and 10 am to 8 pm, Thursday through Saturday.
