The Turret is situated in the centre of the village, within easy reach of the famous Cliff Railway, interesting and unusual little shops, restaurants, museums, galleries, and the picturesque harbour at Lynmouth. The Turret is a small family-run Guest House offering comfortable, high quality, good value Bed and Breakfast in a area of outstanding natural beauty.
The twin villages of Lynton and Lynmouth have been a popular holiday destination since before the Victorian era, when the area became known as England's 'Little Switzerland', due to the 600ft height difference between the harbour and Lynton village, and because of the hilly nature of the countryside. The Turret is an ideal base from which you can explore Exmoor National Park, with its miles of heather clad moorland and secret wooded valleys, and North Devon's spectacular rugged coastline. You will find a wealth of things to see and do in this part of England's West Country, whether you like an active holiday or a more relaxing break. Exmoor is a wonderful place for a walking holiday, and there are several walks you can do directly from the Turret, taking you through some stunning countryside and dramatic coastal scenery. Cyclists and horse riders will also find Exmoor and North Devon the ideal holiday destination, with miles of bridleways to explore.

The rooms are large, light airy, and decorated to suit the period of the house. We have residents' lounge where you can relax in comfort and an elegant dining room where our delicious breakfasts are served. Guests can choose either a continental or a full English breakfast, and you can also try some of Nancy's locally famous home made jams.
Our spacious bedrooms are sumptuously decorated, and have comfortable beds, TV, tea and coffee making facilities, clocks, and hairdryers. All bedrooms are en suite, with toiletries provided in the bathrooms. Some of the bedrooms have views out over Lynton to the surrounding hills. There is a garden to the front of the house, where guests can sit and enjoy the sun.
The Turret is a no smoking guesthouse, and we regret we cannot accept pets, or children under 14. We are open all year for Bed and Breakfast.
