The Tartu Art Museum in Tartu, Estonia was established all the way back in 1938 in celebration of the Art Society Pallas when it was decided each member of the society would donate a personal piece of their works to the museum. The first exhibition was launched with 124 pieces, and the rest as they say is history, visitors today can view the collections at their now permanent home after a long and colourful history through wars and several building sites. The Tartu Art Museum in the Learning Building on Town Square Hall is home to permanent displays of Estonian art, temporary exhibitions and also host concerts, lectures and other events, and guided tours are available in many languages, come for a fascinating visit of paintings, drawings, graphic arts, sculpture, water colours, photos and videos, it's all here, a wonderful collection of the arts.
