St Margaret’s Cave

St Margaret’s Cave in Dunfermline, Fife, United Kingdom | Attraction | Caves

St Margaret’s Cave in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland, is a wonderful Attraction to visit and the site of where Queen Margaret, who later became St. Margaret prayed, and this pilgrimage site retains the same sense of spiritualism it did centuries ago. The cave offers a stillness and isolation and today you enter through a small building in the City Hotel car park and descend down a tunnel with many steep steps with handrails on both sides, and there are information boards and audio points as you descend telling you about St. Margaret and the history of Dunfermline. St Margaret’s Cave is small and a visit here is interesting and informative, come for a wonderful lesson in history.
